Privacy Policy

We take protecting your info seriously - just like guarding ancient treasures

Look, we're not gonna hit you with a bunch of legal jargon that'll put you to sleep faster than a post-workout nap. Here's the deal - we collect some info to run our gym and keep your training on track. We're not selling your data to random folks or doing anything shady. This is straightforward stuff about what we know, why we know it, and how we handle it.

When you sign up to train with us, we're gonna need some basics. Your name, email, phone number - the usual stuff so we can actually contact you about your sessions. We also grab your address 'cause sometimes we send out warrior care packages or event info.

For training purposes, we'll collect health and fitness data - nothing weird, just things like any injuries we should know about, fitness goals, maybe your current strength levels. If you're doing nutrition coaching, we'll track some food-related info too.

Payment details get collected when you purchase memberships or sessions, but that's handled through secure payment processors. We don't store your full credit card info on our end - we're warriors, not payment security experts.

Pretty straightforward - we use your info to run the gym and provide you with killer training sessions. That means scheduling your boot camps, sending reminders so you don't miss class (we've all been there), tracking your progress, and making sure your workouts are safe and effective.

We'll send you updates about new classes, schedule changes, or special warrior events. Don't worry, we're not gonna spam you every day with "motivational quotes" or whatever. Just the good stuff.

Your fitness and health data helps us customize your training plan. If you've got a bum knee or you're training for something specific, we need to know that to program your sessions properly. It's about making sure you're getting results without getting hurt.

Your trainers and coaches will have access to your fitness data - kinda necessary for them to do their job properly. Front desk staff can see contact and membership info for scheduling and admin stuff.

We work with a few third-party services like payment processors, email platforms, and scheduling software. They only get what they need to provide their specific service. We're not handing over your entire life story to some random app.

We'll share your info if Canadian law requires it or if there's a legitimate safety concern. Beyond that? Nobody's getting your data without your permission. We're not in the business of selling member lists or any of that nonsense.

If we ever post photos or videos from training sessions on social media, we'll get your consent first. Some folks love being featured, others prefer to keep their training private - both are totally cool with us.

While you're an active member, we keep everything on file 'cause we need it to provide your training. Makes sense, right?

If you leave, we'll hang onto your data for about 7 years for accounting and legal reasons (Canadian tax stuff mainly). After that, it gets deleted unless there's a specific reason to keep it longer.

You can request we delete your info earlier if you want. There might be some things we legally have to keep for tax purposes, but anything beyond that? Just let us know and we'll wipe it.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA if you wanna get technical), you've got some solid rights. You can ask to see what data we have on you, request corrections if something's wrong, or ask us to delete stuff.

Wanna opt out of marketing emails? There's an unsubscribe link in every email we send. You'll still get important stuff like class cancellations or billing info, but no more promotional content.

If you think we messed up with your privacy, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd prefer you talk to us first so we can fix whatever went wrong, but that's your right.

Want to access, update, or delete your data? Just shoot us an email at info@mythrunechronicle.info and we'll sort it out within 30 days.

We take security seriously - like guarding Valhalla's gates seriously. Your data's stored on secure servers with encryption. Access is limited to staff who actually need it to do their jobs.

Our payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers, which is fancy talk for "they know what they're doing with credit card security." We never see or store your full payment details.

That said, nothing online is 100% hack-proof. We do our best with industry-standard security, but if there's ever a breach, we'll let you know ASAP and tell you what happened and what we're doing about it. Transparency matters.

Our website uses cookies - not the edible kind, unfortunately. These are little files that help the site remember your preferences and keep you logged in. Basic stuff to make the website actually work.

We use analytics tools to see how people use our site - what pages get visited, where people click, that kind of thing. It's anonymous data that helps us make the website better. We're not tracking your every move across the internet like some creepy stalker.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, but some parts of the site might not work as smoothly. Most browsers let you control what cookies you accept, so check your settings if you're picky about it.

Our programs are designed for adults 18 and over. If someone under 18 wants to train with us, we need parental consent and a parent or guardian has to handle all the registration stuff.

We don't knowingly collect info from kids under 13. If we find out we accidentally did, we'll delete it right away. Parents, if you think your kid's info ended up in our system somehow, let us know and we'll handle it immediately.

Sometimes we gotta update this policy - new laws, new services, or just better ways of doing things. When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top and let you know through email or a notice on our website.

Big changes? We'll make sure you're aware and give you a chance to review them. Continuing to use our services after changes means you're cool with the updated policy. If you're not cool with it, we can part ways respectfully - no hard feelings.

Got Questions?

Look, privacy policies can be confusing even when we try to keep them simple. If something here doesn't make sense or you've got questions about how we handle your info, just reach out. We're happy to explain anything in plain language.
